Job Description (RANCS TECHNOLOGIES LLC has an opening in Cedar Hill, TX) Complete full Software Life Cycle process to design, develop, test, and maintain Power BI visualizations and reports for requested projects. Monitor the Power BI system for data quality, job errors, performance issues, and resolve with Microsoft. Optimize dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, and standardization. Account for the accuracy of the data presented to Business Intelligence users through the execution of validation processes and testing procedures. Identify the pain points of the stakeholders and develop the data visualization solutions which are user-friendly and dynamic.Work with business stakeholders in gathering requirements to understand, interpret and translate requirements into an effective technical solution. Provide technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solutions or escalation to project managers. Generate reports using Query Editor, DAX, and visualizations with Power BI Desktop by blending multiple data connections and creating multiple joins across the same and various data sources, based on measures and dimensions required by end-users. Manage multiple parallel assignments and meet specified milestones. Establish metrics required to measure business performance and recommend the go-forward strategy to address performance gaps. Help the team build the solutions to the Business Analytics using the Microsoft Power BI. Train business and end-users to create ad-hoc reports to decrease dependency on IT by self-service options. Will work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Requires Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related and 2 years experience. 2 years must include experience with (1) Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate); (2) SQL; (3) Query writing; (4) Oracle; (5) working with relational and dimensional data modeling; (6) documenting business requirements and translate into technical reporting specifications; and (7) developing Power BI reports, dashboards, publish reports to power BI service and establish gateway refresh schedules using DAX and PowerPivot BI.
